The Carolina Thread Trail (The Thread) is a regional network of planned greenways and trails totaling 1,400 miles that reaches 15 counties and 2.3 million people. This shapefile shows the location of adopted Thread Trail routes which were decided upon by the individual counties. Thread Trail routes can include natural surface trails, paved greenways, sidewalks, bike lanes, equistrian trails, and mountain bike trails.
To depict the routes of the Carolina Thread Trail that are complete and the propsed routes adopted by the individual counties.
